Territorial Seal Dublin Core Title Territorial Seal Description Press seal with long black cast iron handle or lever mechanism with curved decorative end. Black base with holes at each end and brass circular stamp component. Base is also decorated with yellow and red paint in spiraling designs. Brass stamp design is a beehive with "Territory of Utah, 1850." This seal was used as the official stamp of the Territory of Utah 1850-1896. It was transferred to the Historical Society from the Utah State Archives after they acquired records and items from Governor Olene Walker's administration in 2005.
