Biographical Text
Orvil Lorenzo Thompson traveled extensively throughout Europe and the United States, which helped him gain experience and knowledge of public affairs. He “always [took] an active interest in political affairs” (Drumm 1896, 79) and held several positions of trust in Millard County. Additionally, he served as a delegate to the 1895 Constitutional Convention. Thompson was also a member of the seventh legislative session. He died unexpectedly from a heart attack in 1921.
