Biographical Text

James P. Driscoll moved to Eureka, Utah, in 1890. He worked in the mining industry, serving as secretary of The Little Chief Mining and Milling Company. In partnership with Dr. Field, Driscoll started the Central Drug Company. In 1892 he was appointed Eureka postmaster and reappointed in 1898, serving until his death. He held membership with A. O. U. W., Knights of Pythias, and the Elks and was a prominent worker of these lodges. Driscoll died due to kidney failure.

As a senator, he was chairman of the Counties and Municipal Corporations Committee.
