Excursion Contract between Salt Lake, Garfield & Western Railway Company and George W. Welch, for an excursion run from Salt Lake City and Garfield to Saltair during the Elks' "Preseason Dance", May 22, 1920.

Saltair hosted a wide variety of special events and live entertainment. Social clubs, church groups, fraternal orders, and employers booked special outings to Saltair, and political parties held their rallies and conventions at the resort. Sporting events such as bicycle races and boxing matches drew decent crowds in the first decade of the twentieth century. Performers and musicians found eager audiences, and the dance floor was always packed.
